Job Summary The firm is seeking a First-Party Property Coverage Attorney to join its Dallas-based practice. This role focuses on sophisticated first-party property coverage matters from pre-suit analysis through litigation. The ideal candidate is an experienced coverage attorney who enjoys detailed policy analysis, strategic litigation work, and managing matters through resolution. Responsibilities Handle first-party property coverage matters at all stages, including pre-suit analysis and litigation Analyze insurance policies and evaluate coverage positions Conduct examinations under oath and defend or take depositions Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery Attend mediations, hearings, and other court proceedings Develop case strategy and assist with resolution planning Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams Maintain accurate billing and comply with reporting guidelines Qualifications Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar or ability to obtain licensure Minimum of four years of insurance coverage experience Experience handling first-party property coverage disputes Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters Collaborative, team-first mindset Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary range of 120,000 to 180,000 depending on experience Non-discretionary bonus opportunities Health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Professional development and mentorship programs Hybrid work flexibility Apply today or email your resume to aj@jasurdagroup.com for immediate consideration.
