Software Developer in Test (SDET) Location: Hybrid (Greater
Dallas/Fort Worth) Summary SafetyChain Software is seeking a Senior
SDET to drive and elevate our quality engineering initiatives. This
role is built for someone who operates with high autonomy, takes
initiative without waiting for direction, and can independently
move complex testing efforts from idea to delivery. Youll shape
test architecture and strategy, introduce meaningful automation and
performance improvements, and act as a force multiplier across
engineering. Youll also be expected to leverage modern AI-assisted
engineering tools to accelerate analysis, test development,
debugging, and documentation treating AI as a practical
productivity multiplier. While youll collaborate closely with QA,
Development, Product, and Support, much of your impact will come
from transforming ambiguity into working solutions and moving
projects forward with minimal red tape. Who We Are: SafetyChain is

(Key Responsibilities): Automation Engineering & Quality Execution
Architect, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated testing
frameworks for web and mobile applications using TypeScript with
Playwright and WebDriverIO. Implement and evolve test approaches
across functional, regression, integration, UI, performance, and
load testing layers. Integrate and maintain automated tests within
our CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions. Analyze performance testing
using JMeter and proactively identify bottlenecks. Own test case
traceability using Xray and drive release testing from inception
through delivery. Serve as a technical go-to person for automation
and tooling, offering code reviews, best practices, and
implementation guidance. Support observability, diagnostics, and
issue triage in production environments alongside DevOps and
Product teams. Data & Analytics Quality Test data-warehouse and
analytics pipelines, reviewing transformations, metric logic, and
end-to-end data flow. Perform data-quality validation (accuracy,
completeness, consistency, schema evolution). Collaborate with data
engineering on data contracts to ensure reliable and trustworthy
analytics outputs. Ownership, Autonomous Execution & AI-Augmented
Delivery Identify quality gaps and independently drive solutions to
completion with minimal oversight. Move projects forward even when
requirements are ambiguous, balancing autonomy with timely
collaboration. Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate automation,
analysis, debugging, data validation, and documentation across the
testing lifecycle. What Youll Need (Requirements) 8 years in QA,
including 3 years as an SDET with demonstrated senior-level
ownership of automation and delivery. Expertise in automated
testing and framework design, with strong TypeScript skills and
experience in Playwright and Selenium (or equivalent). Strong
experience with REST API testing, including test orchestration,
mocking, contract testing, and integration validation. Hands-on
performance and load-testing experience using JMeter, with the
ability to interpret results and identify bottlenecks. Solid
understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating
automation into GitHub Actions or equivalent. Proficiency in SQL
and experience validating complex datasets, business logic
transformations, and multi-stage data flows. Experience with
BDD/Gherkin and abstraction of test definitions, including
designing structured, maintainable, reusable test flows. Experience
with tools such as Xray, GitHub, Azure DevOps, SonarCloud, DataDog.
Fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools (copilots,
test-generation assistants, log-analysis agents) and the ability to
use AI to meaningfully increase testing velocity and insight.
Proven ability to work autonomously, drive work to completion, and
make progress without heavy direction. Strong communication and
cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to adapt quickly
based on changing priorities, projects, or organizational goals.
Must reside in or willing to relocate to the Dallas - Fort Worth
metroplex Preferred Skills & Experience Background supporting SaaS
or enterprise platforms with complex backend systems. Experience
contributing to or guiding team-level test processes and
documentation. Demonstrated mentorship experience, helping level up
other QA or SDET team members. Experience with mobile testing
(manual or automated). Familiarity with ELT/ETL validation or
analytics workflows. Experience with modern data-platform
technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, BigQuery,
Redshift). Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g.,
Jira dashboards, EazyBI, Allure). Understanding of AI/automation
concepts or experimentation with AI-assisted testing workflows.
Prior exposure to manufacturing, food & beverage, industrial, or
