MRI Tech Location: Waxahachie, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,344 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hrs AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years experience License: MRT Certifications: ARRT (MR), BLS (AHA Only) Must-Have: Degree Description: The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider. These procedures aid in the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The technologist performs high-quality MRI procedures promptly. They maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures. They utilize effective communication techniques when interacting with patients to identify their service requirements and ensure the correct exam is performed. The technologist instructs and communicates with patients and their families regarding the test to be performed and assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam. They prepare the patient and area for the procedure by positioning the patient and adjusting equipment as necessary. They protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements and infection control protocols. The technologist maintains equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards. They work collaboratively to ensure the optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Reporting issues to management or the appropriate department is essential. Maintaining an inventory of supplies is also part of their responsibilities. The technologist screens individuals according to approved policies and procedures to ensure safety. They obtain and verify all relevant documentation related to the imaging procedures. Maintaining medical imaging records in accordance with departmental policies and standards is required. They perform high-quality MRI procedures and provide excellent patient care. They explain procedures clearly to put patients at ease. Providing services in an accurate and efficient manner is essential. The technologist can perform tasks independently without the need for oversight. They maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under stress. They effectively administer first aid and utilize emergency equipment as needed. Ensuring customer satisfaction by minimizing wait times and providing courteous service is crucial. The technologist continuously updates their knowledge and skills to care for various patient age groups. They may serve as preceptors, providing quality training to new team members.
