Position Description: Works with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to assist in the
design and delivery of innovative alternative investment
workstation and front-end order entry applications in an Agile
environment. Primary Responsibilities: Translates complex customer requirements into stories with
actionable acceptance criteria. Partners with department leaders to maintain backlogs to
understand expected outcomes for products. Evaluates the design of existing systems to judge their
functionalities, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage,
maintainability, and cost of ownership Recommends changes to existing systems design to achieve
requirements. Organizes and prioritizes steps to be taken to remedy
issues. Works with key business partners -- performance delivery,
operations, and client implementations -- to ensure field
readiness. Participates in systems triage of defects with root cause
analysis when issues arise before and after code releases. Monitors and directs activities of other team members when
required. Works effectively across all levels of the organization. Education and Experience: No degree and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or
five (5) years of experience performing business and systems
analysis within an asset management and alternative investment
environment. Or, alternatively, Bachelors degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or a
closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job
offered or three (3) years of experience performing business and
systems analysis within an asset management and alternative
investment environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or a
closely related field and one (1) in the job offered or one (1)
year of experience performing business and systems analysis within
an asset management and alternative investment environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing business analysis --
tracking client appointments (using Salesforce), gathering
requirements from meetings with external companies, and analyzing
and tracking requirements (using JIRA) -- of trading, tax lots, and
taxation; and performing alternative investments product reporting
-- real estate investment trusts, hedge funds, limited
partnerships, private equity/debt, business development
corporation, and offshore vehicles -- using Tableau and Business
Objects. DE applying data analytics to support advisors and correspondent
requirements of client reporting, using Tableau and Business
Objects reporting tools. DE integrating custody and settlement of securities, using
Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) according to
Alternative Investment program (AIP) industry standards; analyzing,
designing, and documenting the data flow between client facing Web
applications, DTCC, and backend trade processing systems, using
Microsoft Visio and Macro. DE performing business analysis of core asset servicing custody,
posting, settlement, transaction, and bookkeeping processes, using
mainframe applications (z/OS, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2) and DTCC;
creating customer statement and tax reports using Tax Accounting
System View (TAS); and performing asset valuation, using Security
Master, workflow mapping, and image retrieval application for
