ServicesDescriptionPosition Summary: Advances community awareness
of the agency as a provider in the field of services for legal and
offender-based programs. Provides oversight and management to the
Program Director for the Batterers Intervention and Prevention
Program (BIPP)/Faith and Liberty's Supervised Visitation Program
(FLP) and the Domestic Violence High Risk Team (DVHRT) as well as
the Legal Advocate in conjunction with Legal Aid of Northwest
Texas.Key Responsibilities:Program Supervision and Leadership
- Provides oversight and supervision to the Program Director for
Restorative Services (BIPP and FLP), the Advocate for DVHRT, and
the Legal Assistant.
- Ensures that the programs follow the organization's guidelines,
policies, licensing, and government contracts.
- Assists in the preparation of the program budgets and on-going
monitoring of budgets. Approves budgeted spending at pre-determined
levels.
- Provides leadership to the team members, mentoring them to
their full potential through work plans, performance objectives and
goals for each one.
- Provides on-going assessment and evaluation of the programs to
ensure that client needs, agency standards and funding requirements
are met; uses outcome data to manage staff and program
performance.
- Works with Client Services staff to coordinate services and
advocacy for clients who are on the high-risk case load for
residential and non-residential services.
- Maintains communication with Dallas Police Department High Risk
Detective regarding all high-risk cases.
- Prepares and provides timely progress reports and statistical
information required by The Family Place referral agencies and
funding sources.Community Partnerships
- Builds relationships with community stakeholders to advance the
mission of The Family Place (TFP); attends and participates in
community meetings such as the Family Violence Prevention Council
and Domestic Violence Awareness Council.
- Develops community relationships with services providers that
impact the lives of domestic violence victims, i.e., Police
Departments, District Attorney's office, Dallas and Collin County
Family and Criminal Courts, and other domestic violence agencies in
Dallas and Collin County.Community Outreach
- Responsible for TFP's community education efforts through
relationship building with community partners.
- Represents TFP in a professional manner within the community by
attending relevant community meetings, coalitions, trainings,
etc.
- Conducts speaking engagements within the community about
domestic violence that are in line with the agency strategic plan
and mission.
- Coordinates domestic violence awareness events.Other Duties:
Performs other job-related duties as
assigned.QualificationsRequirements: Bachelor's Degree (Master's
degree preferred) in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal
Justice, Human Services, Education, or Law with three years'
experience in domestic violence service; nonprofit leadership
experience, public speaking, and five years' program supervision
and program development experience required.Licenses and
Certifications: Valid Texas Driver's License and clear driving
record.Knowledge and Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and related
issues.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in
strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling,
leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of
people and resources.
- Knowledge and experience of program development and performance
management.
- Experience in formulating and implementing policies and
procedures.
- Possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal
skills.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products, i.e., Word, Excel, and
Outlook.Mental and Physical Abilities: Duties are usually performed
seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited
physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying
objects (less than 25 lbs).Working Conditions: Work may be
performed but is not limited to an office environment. Ability to
work some weekends and evening hours for special projects.Essential
