The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory and healthy stock levels of raw material, work in progress and finished goods by monitoring internal goods movement, goods received and stock transfer transactions across stock locations. This position will develop strategy, goals, processes, KPIs and audit system to ensure the highest level of inventory integrity including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, stock transfers and optimize service levels while decreasing excess and obsolete inventory. The Inventory Control Manager's responsibilities include acting as a liaison between the Production, Finance, Materials Management and Distribution Center departments. As a specialist in inventory analysis, the role requires a high level of analytical thinking and desire to continually improve processes. Create and maintain inventory control, audit and cycle count procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with company policies and procedures. Perform, maintain, track and report inventory adjustment and relevant findings. Recommend operational process improvements and develop strategies to enhance performance, systems, accuracy levels and inventory touch points. Manage the overall performance of the supply chain related to inventory accuracy and control. Collaborate with Finance on inventory valuation, variances and corrective actions. Lead definition and deployment of physical inventory count methodology. Manage integrity of inventory data in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management system (WMS). Define and implement inventory control key productivity indicators (KPI's). Develop standard operating procedures and business processes related to inventory control activities. Manage inventory claims process and support inventory loss investigations. Collaborate to define "Customer Success Factors" related to stock availability. Develop inventory reporting management dashboards. Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory shrinkage and maximize turns. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and five (5) years of experience managing the inventory process in a distribution/warehouse environment is required. Knowledge of inventory management and control disciplines, inventory record keeping systems, WMS knowledge and ERP knowledge is required. Six Sigma or LEAN certification preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) Strong leadership skills combined with the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with people, projects and issues. Ability to listen and communicate effectively. Ability to lead people. Ability to actively engage by means of discovery, process, and/or application of new information. Physical Demand Requirements: Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
