In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records by managing payments and cash transactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your Impact as a Cash Posting Specialist In this role, you will: Manage Cash Transactions : Process incoming payments (cash, checks, and credit card transactions) accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure Compliance : Follow the BILLING SOP MANUAL protocols and guidelines for each payor while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Reconcile Accounts : Prepare and make daily bank deposits, reconcile cash collections with receipts, and balance deposits against bank totals. Post Payments : Accurately post payments from insurance and patients, analyze EOBs for appeal or reprocessing needs, and allocate funds appropriately. Handle Refunds : Process refund requests from insurance, research issues, and post recoupments as needed. Maintain Records : Scan and upload all correspondence related to patient and insurance payments and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with company policies. Support Reconciliation : Participate in monthly reconciliations and maintain up-to-date spreadsheets for deposits and exception reports. Provide Exceptional Customer Service : Address concerns or issues promptly and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
