/n/n /n The Team Leader adheres to and follows the goals,
philosophy, standards and guidelines of Texas Health Huguley. The
Team Leader is a specialized health care professional who reports
to the Director and provides leadership to the unit assigned by
supervising the coordination the care and services for the patients
on the unit for their assigned shift. The Team Leader will lead
their staff on the delivery of safe patient care, quality
strategies, throughput initiatives, patient satisfaction and
employee satisfaction. In collaboration with their Director, the
Team Leader will conduct performance evaluations of their assigned
staff, participate in peer interviews of potential new hires for
their team, and will make suggestions to their Director of any
staff recognitions and/or disciplinary actions. This position
demonstrates leadership through conflict resolution and service
recovery with patients, families, physicians, and staff and
proactively removes barriers to effectively implement Texas Health
Huguley's strategic plan to achieve our vision. The Team Leader
maintains clinical competency and is required to provide direct
patient care. /n /n/n /n The value you'll bring to the team: /n
/n/n /n Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates a
comprehensive plan of care through a multidisciplinary care team
process in conjunction with the patient/family in internal and
external settings. /n /n/n /n Comprehensively assesses patients'
goals as well as their biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and
discharge planning needs and financial status. /n /n/n /n Procures
services and advocates on behalf of the patient/family for scarce
resources. /n /n/n /n Works collaboratively with staff members
involved in care of case managed population. /n /n/n /n Seeks peer
consultation regarding cases that present problems/significant
variances. /n /n/n /n Acts as a liaison to post-hospital care
providers and community health resources. /n /n/n /n Manages each
patient transition through the system and transfers accountability
to the appropriate person/agency upon discharge. /n /n/n /n
Recognizes and identifies life threatening situations, responding
with immediate action according to protocol with no unjustified
documented variances. /n /n/n /n Demonstrates the skill and
judgment necessary to implement physician orders, nursing
interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the
patient to provide quality care. /n /n/n /n Accurately administers
medications, IV fluids and IV medication, blood and blood products
according to physician's orders and nursing policy and procedure
with no more than three (3) occurrences per year. /n /n/n /n
Demonstrates ability and appropriate technical skills when
administering treatments and procedures in accordance with
physicians orders and nursing policy and procedure with no more
than three (3) documented occurrences per year. /n /n/n /n
Coordinates collaborative multidisciplinary care team meetings. /n
/n/n /n Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of
patient care. /n /n/n /n Other duties as assigned /n /n/n /n The
expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : /n /n/n /n
Minimum qualifications : /n /n/n /n RN - Registered Nurse - State
Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of Texas or
in a qualifying compact state. /n /n/n /n BSN Preferred /n /n/n /n2
years of recent experience in an ED facility/n /n/n /n ACLS /n /n/n
/n PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support /n /n/n /n TNCC or ENPC
